Mites

mites are concealed in the living space such as dwelling, office, automobile, bus, train.

About dust mites

The volume of dust mites is between 0.1mm ~ 0.4mm and it’s difficult to identify by the naked eye. There is seventy-five percent of water in dust mites and dust mites excrete twenty times a day. The female dust mites can lay about 100 eggs during the lifetime. The suitable environment for growing is in temperature of 20 ~ 30 ℃, humidity of 60% or more.

How dust mites excretions cause the allergy?

The volume of dust mites excretions are about 0.02mm. Once excretions fly in the air, it can be suspended in still air for twenty minutes. If you inhaled the air with the excretions and it will be dissolved in the nose or lung tissue.

The dissolved excretions release the enzymes in cells and tissues and it will cause the allergic reactions. The same enzyme dissolution causes the allergic reactions in the sensitive and exposed regions of human body like asthma, rhinitis and eczema. Living dust mites, dead dust mites and eggs also contain the allergens.

SEGUROCERA

Place of Origin Japan
Material base ceramics
Appearance White powder
particle size 2.7~6.4 μm
density 2.5
heat-resistant temperature 500℃↑

SEGUROCERA is a subsidiary of Ishizuka Glass Co., Ltd. It combines alkaline soil, alkali, silicic acid, etc. with high temperature. After chemical conversion, a few µm to several µm finely powdered anti-mite ceramic substances are formed.

Advantages of inorganic anti-mite agents

1. Because it uses ceramic material, it will not be volatile like organic compounds.    So there will be no smell.

2. Good storage stability and long product life.

3. It is highly safe for acute oral poisoning and skin irritation.

4. Because of its high heat resistance and no change in material properties, so it can be used in textiles.

SEGUROCERA’s Anti-mite mechanism

It will take effect after being in contact with or ingestion by dust mites. The ingredients of SEGUROCERA can dehydrate dust mites. The activity and fertility of dehydrated dust mites will be significantly reduced. The number of dust mites can be reduced because they cannot reproduce. Also. Because the material of SEGUROCERA is ceramic, there is no volatile generation, so the effect of inhibiting dust mites can be maintained for a long time.

As shown in the figure, after the dust mites have been cultured on a test paper with 1% Sure for 8 days, the dehydration effect will have the same effect as putting the dust mites in the oven for one day to dry. The effect is also the same as placing fiber products in the sun

Suggested addition rate

Foam products 0.7~1.0%
oil-based paint 0.5~1.0%
PET Fiber 0.7~1.0%
PA6 Fiber 0.7~1.0%
PP Fiber 0.7~1.0%

Safety

Acute oral toxicity test

Acute oral toxicity test in rats. Feeding at the upper limit of 2000mg / Kg, no death or abnormal reaction occurred.

Skin irritation test

There were no adverse reactions during and after the skin irritation test on white rabbits. The test method refers to the Chemical Substance Toxicity Test Guideline OECD issued by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in 1981

Skin allergy test

The skin allergy test uses the maximum method, using 10-1% decreasing concentration of IONPURE on the skin of guinea pigs. After 48-72 hours, no skin allergy was observed.

Mutagenicity test

The results confirmed that there was no reverse degeneration and allogenicity. The test method is based on the NO.77 standard promulgated by the Japanese Ministry of Labor on September 1, 1989.
